Our Story

The vision for this initiative was born out of lived experience. Recently, life took an unexpected turn, and the founder of Unicorn Automotive—a dedicated mama—found herself suddenly without a vehicle. Getting to school, going to work, and managing daily family life immediately became an uphill battle.

Because of her 21+ years of hands-on experience spanning dealership service management, service advisory, and parts, she had the specialized skills and knowledge to get herself out of that jam. But navigating that struggle opened her eyes to a massive gap: What about the families who don't have those skills? Without industry know-how, overcoming the loss of a vehicle, or staring down a massive, confusing repair estimate, can feel completely impossible.

This initiative isn't just about handing over car keys; it's about utilizing decades of automotive expertise to source reliable transportation, and offering professional advocacy to protect vulnerable folks from predatory repair bills. To ensure our time and resources go directly to those genuinely in need, we are developing a community nomination and third-party referral system. We are actively looking for local non-profit partners to join forces with us, helping to identify and connect us with the families and individuals who need this support the most.
